# Annotation tools

hypershot includes 16 annotation tools and utilities to mark up your screenshots.

## The toolbar

The toolbar appears at the bottom of the editor. Click a tool to select it, or use keyboard shortcuts.

## Tool options

When you select a tool, options appear above the toolbar:

- **Color** — Click to open the color selector
- **Size/Width** — Adjust stroke thickness
- **Style** — Tool-specific options (arrow style, fill mode, etc.)
- **Shadow** — Toggle drop shadow on/off (available on most tools)

## Common actions

- **Draw** — Click and drag on the canvas
- **Edit** — Double-click an annotation (for text)
- **Move** — Click and drag an existing annotation
- **Resize** — Drag the corner or edge handles
- **Delete** — Select and press Delete

## Tips

- **Quick switch** — Use keyboard shortcuts to change tools fast
- **Last settings** — Tools remember your last used settings
- **Modifier keys** — Hold Shift to constrain proportions
