Quick access panel
A small floating grid of every capture action — reach any capture mode without remembering its shortcut or opening the menu bar / tray menu.
Opening the panel
Section titled “Opening the panel”- Press the Quick Access Panel shortcut — ⌘⇧P on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows (the default; you can change it in Settings → Shortcuts)
- Choose Quick Access Panel from the menu bar / tray menu
- Click the hypershot icon in the Dock (macOS) or taskbar (Windows) while hypershot is running — if an editor is open, it comes forward instead
The panel opens centered on the screen your cursor is on. Triggering it again while it’s open closes it.
| Tile | What it does |
|---|---|
| Region | A region capture — see Area Capture |
| Window | A window capture — see Window Capture |
| Screen | A full-screen capture — see Screen Capture |
| Scrolling | A scrolling capture — see Scrolling Capture |
| OCR | An OCR capture — see OCR Capture (disabled where OCR isn’t available) |
| Scan Codes | Freeze every screen and find QR codes / barcodes — see QR Scanning |
| Delayed | A delayed region capture — see Delayed Capture |
| Folder Pane | Shows the preview folder |
| Settings | Opens Settings |
Clicking a tile closes the panel first, so it never ends up in your capture.
Closing the panel
Section titled “Closing the panel”- Press Escape
- Click anywhere outside it
- Trigger it again (shortcut, menu item, or Dock / taskbar icon)
